Jigokudani Monkey Park:
This is one of the most famous “hot spring area” located near Nagano. The name of this park means “Hell’s Valley”. Such an odd name to this valley was given because boiling water, and steam comes out of this “frozen ground” that is bounded with cold forest and steep cliffs. The area is also famous for its huge population of “wild snow monkeys”. These monkeys mostly visit the valley during winter when the land stays snow covered. Himeji Castle:

The Great Buddha of Kamakura:
This great Buddha of Kamakura actually represents the Amida Buddha, which is celebrated and worshiped the most in Japan. This huge statue is made of bronze and weighs around ninety-three tons with a height of thirteen meter. It was kept in a “small wooden temple”, which later got washed away in Tsunami. Now the statue stands in an open air.
